It is widely used in soap making, detergents, cosmetics, and industrial applications due to its excellent cleansing, lathering, and moisturizing properties.

Coconut fatty acid is rich in saturated fatty acids (~90%), with a high proportion of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs):
